Standing at 263 meters (863 feet), Bambarakanda Falls is the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka and ranks among the tallest in the world (around 461st). The water cascades dramatically down a sheer rock face, creating a breathtaking natural spectacle.

Location & Access

Located in Kalupahana, Badulla District, the fall is fed by the Kuda Oya, a tributary of the Walawe River. Just 5–6 km from the A4 Highway, it can be reached via a narrow mountain road followed by a short scenic walk through fragrant pine forests leading to the base and viewing points.
